In this focused, one-day, weekend workshop, young artists are mentored by design professionals in the creation of images and patterns that may ultimately be used into wall coverings, upholstery fabrics, carpet and other products used in home furnishings. They work with real-life challenges in product design.
For example, DENY Designs – an innovative home furnishings company in Denver – is partnering with Fresh Artists to curate an exclusive collection of products created from artwork donated by Fresh Artists in grades K-12 in cities across the country. Images created and digitally manipulated in Design Camp have been applied to such products as shower curtains, duvet covers, wall clocks, pillows and trays. DENY Designs makes a 20% donation to Fresh Artists from all sales to support art programs and classroom art supplies.
